Support AMR Advocacy, Communication, and Containment Activities

 Antimicrobial resistance is a complex cross-cutting problem impacting a wide variety of sectors. Awareness must be raised among key stakeholder who can advocate for effective containment activities. Since all members of society are endangered by AMR, equipping the media to bring AMR-related issues into the public spotlight is especially important.

RPM Plus support for AMR advocacy, communication and containment include the following activities -
To promote AMR containment in low-resource settings RPM Plus has developed two companion documents. AMR Building Coalitions Guide

The first, Building Local Coalitions for Containing Drug Resistance: A Guide [PDF - 1 MB], offers a practical approach to AMR containment at the local level and provides tools and approaches to support advocacy and coalition building around AMR.

AMR USAID Missions Guide
The second, Containing Antimicrobial Resistance: Guide for USAID Missions to Institution-Based Interventions [PDF - 288 KB], is a document designed to assist USAID missions staff in thinking through the key institution-based interventions missions can support in order to help preserve the effectiveness of antimicrobials through priority programs.
