After the participants complete their DTC-TOT training, they often face technical, environmental, financial and motivational challenges in getting started and are in need of follow up support to effectively implement the tools and techniques learnt. Periodic follow-up leads to a more significant outcome than training alone and allows documentation of post-course DTC activities carried out by participants.
RPM Plus is committed to providing follow up technical support to the participants after they complete their DTC-TOT training course. This is implemented via email, phone calls and where appropriate via site visits through its country offices in collaboration with local counterparts. This is to ensure smooth implementation of their workplans developed during the DTC-TOT course and to provide encouragement and motivation. As a result, many participants have made significant progress in their health facilities by establishing DTCs or effectively implementing DTC related activities.
