To help fulfill its mandate, RPM Plus formed partnerships with six organizations that offer the expertise necessary to successfully implement sustainable reforms and improvements in commodity management systems and in the availability and use of essential health commodities. RPM Plus coordinates all partner interventions that focus on specific country and regional targets.

The six RPM Plus partner organizations are—

• Academy for Educational Development, a nonprofit organization that promotes behavior change by using innovative communications and social marketing techniques
• Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics, affiliated with the Tufts University School of Medicine, which works to promote appropriate antibiotic use and curb the development of antibiotic resistance
• Boston University Center for International Health at the School of Public Health, which focuses on international health research
• Harvard University, with personnel from the Medical School and other university divisions, which conducts applied research on drug use
• Health and Development Service, a Japanese NGO that strengthens the ability of Japanese organizations and consultants to provide technical assistance in drug management
• Program for Appropriate Technology in Health, which works to promote the prevention and reduce the impact of widespread communicable diseases through the appropriate use of vaccines
